From the western shore road of the Gepatsch reservoir, past breathtaking views of the lake and the imposing Kaunergrat mountain range. The trail takes you from the reservoir to the Nassereinalm, from there to the Gepatschalm and back along the traffic-free lakeside road. A real pleasure,
hiking simply makes you happy.
The Kaunertal combines nature, history and panoramic views. The barrier-free ‘eagle view’ platform with Tyrol's largest wooden eagle offers a magnificent view.
The Tschinglstollen/Knappenlöcher circular hiking trail provides insights into ore mining in the 15th/16th century. The ‘Bergwerksblick’ platform completes the experience.
Have you been there yet?
Another highlight! From the dam wall of the Gepatsch reservoir, the trail leads out of the valley up to the Rostiz hunting lodge. A must for all mountain lovers, you will be rewarded with an impressive mountain landscape -
depending on the weather, you can also observe chamois there.
The tour through the Verpeilschlucht gorge to the Adlerblick and on to the Verpeil hut offers breathtaking views and is a delight for nature lovers. A Kaiserschmarrn as a reward is the crowning glory, and the way back via the Knappensteig rounds off the experience.

The hike from the Gepatschhaus via the Wannet offers breathtaking views of the Gepatschferner. The somewhat steeper ascent is pleasant and the view of the glacier is magnificent. After a well-earned break, you return via the Oil pit, past alpine high landscapes.
A real highlight in the Kaunertal!
The Brunnebele hiking trail starts at the Jägerheim in Feichten and runs above the valley hiking trail. You walk through an idyllic spruce forest and have the option of returning via Unterhäuser. A wonderful, easy walk with marvellous views in the Kaunertal!
